This year, two weekends with two concerts! Seiler & Speer and Edmund live in Obertauern!
For decades, the ski opening in Obertauern has been a must-attend event for winter sports and music fans. Where guaranteed snow meets party spirit, winter is not only welcomed – it is celebrated.

November 28, 2025: Seiler und Speer
With songs like "Ham kummst" and "Für immer," Christopher Seiler and Bernhard Speer have captured the hearts of large audiences for years. Their unique mix of humor, authenticity, and musical talent ranks them among the most successful acts on the Austrian music scene. Together with the opening act, folkshilfe, the Ö3 concert promises an unforgettable evening.

Open Faces - FWT Challenger Obertauern
March 20 – 23, 2026
For the second time, the decisive final of the qualification for the Freeride World Tour 2026 was held in Obertauern – under bright weather, lively atmosphere, and a top-level international field of participants. Although the location was changed at short notice from Hundskogel to Kochspitze, the face was in perfect condition and impressively showed why Obertauern is considered a Freeride hotspot. In the end, nine riders secured their starting places for the FWT 2026 – and took unforgettable impressions from Obertauern back home.
#SHESKIS Ladies Ski Day with Atomic

For the 8th time, the #SHESKIS Ladies Ski Day will take place in Obertauern from April 10 to 12, 2026. Together with Atomic, around 100 female skiers are making a statement for the Pink Ribbon campaign.
Gamsleiten Criterion
April 16, 2026 - April 19, 2026
"Austria's largest treasure hunt in the snow" is looking forward to its 18th occurrence with many participants in the upcoming winter season. The rules are simple: 30 treasure chests are buried on the slope of Gamsleiten 2 in Obertauern. However, only one of the famous treasure chests contains the grand prize. The other 29 treasure chests hide various items and travel vouchers.
